recipe
...mouth watering...
I found this blackberry pie recipe on one of my favorite tumble blogs, Just be Splendid, and as soon as the weather cools a bit I'm gonna try it. I really hope it will look better than my raspberry tart:)
- 3 cups fresh blackberries, blueberries, or a mixture of both
- 1 prepared round of pie dough
- 1 egg white
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup sparkling sugar
Place the round of pie dough on a parchment lined baking sheet. Wash and dry the berries, then place them in a heap right in the center of your pie dough. Carefully fold the edges of the pie dough around the berries, pinching it together to keep the edges in place. Melt the butter and drizzle half of it over the berries. Whisk the egg white into the remaining bit of butter. With a basting brush, spread the butter/egg mixture all over the edges of the pie crust, then sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
Bake in an oven preheated to 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve piping hot with giant scoops of vanilla ice cream.
Color crush: purple delight
Hey sweeties, hope you're experiencing a great Monday! I needed a color infusion, and what else than the royal purple to brighten my mood. Purple has always been one of my favorite colors even though I don't use it so often, just now and then...

If I had these plates, I would be afraid to use them so I won't break or damage any of them, and the tea cup too.
farm living
Greenhouse for early morning tea, sofa in the woods? Come on, this is beyond dreamy... I mean, I spent most of my childhood holidays in the country side,it wasn't actually a farm but there where lots of animals and I was so happy when I they installed me a swing, so imagine if I had an outdoor sofa:)
Decorated by Esther Dormer and Lisa Dagnal, you can check more pictures here!
bed & breakfast
Would you believe this cozy interior is a bed & breakfast in Portugal, Casa di Dona? Sincerely, it's really hard for me too, because it looks so familiar and inviting not neutral & generic. It looks like holiday home...

I don't know how to call this, food vs fashion? I was looking for a couple of pics for my fashion blog when I found these two in my inspiration folder, somehow they go so well together.... don't you think so?

white kitchen
....beautiful white kitchen photographed by Julian Wass.
Looking for kitchen design ideas? You should definitively check out Rona Mag for contemporary and authentic kitchens! If you go for a contemporary kitchen, bright white cabinets, set off by a palette of pale blue and apple green, provide a crisp, fresh look. For an original touch, apply a band of blue paint continued onto the ceiling to echo the outline of the work counter. With its clean lines, blocks of drawers instead of the usual cabinets, and a large, well-lit work surface that doubles as a lunch counter, a modern kitchen combines cutting-edge style with efficient design.
If you pick an authentic style kitchen, a vast island is convivial and inviting, catering to the whole family with a cooking area, eating counter and ample storage. You should use open shelves instead of cabinets to accentuate the room’s clean lines and modern character. Lighting should be provided for all the work surfaces, with pendant lamps over the island and recessed lights above the counters.
this and that
I have a really big problem keeping up with my new schedule, or to say it better, my lack of schedule, that's why there are this posting gaps here. During school year it's easy, I know exactly when I have free time and try to make the best of it... now, when I have all this free time I procrastinate a lot and when I finally want to post, I must leave the house or do something else...story of my life...
That said I'm trying to be more organized and actually post every day, I know I say this weekly but this time I mean it! So, let's start the week with a delicious cappuccino and a fresh croissant.
ps: today, the blog is six months old...
